The Provident Bank Foundation Adds Vanessa Valencia as Foundation Associate

MORRISTOWN, NEW JERSEY (May 19, 2020) — The Provident Bank Foundation announced today that Vanessa Valencia has joined the organization as Foundation Associate. In this role, she will assist in the implementation of goals, operations and support the management of the Foundation’s grant program that totals approximately $1 million in annual giving across New Jersey and Pennsylvania. The Foundation makes grants in three priority areas: Community Enrichment, Education, and Health, Youth & Families.

Before joining The Provident Bank Foundation, Valencia was a member development associate at The Conference Board in New York, where she connected business leaders to unbiased and objective business insights. She also previously worked for The American Society of Mechanical Engineers and SunTrust Bank.

“Vanessa is a great addition to the team, as her strong non-profit management experience will be of great value to the Foundation,” said Samantha Plotino, Executive Director, The Provident Bank Foundation. “We look forward to Vanessa assisting our numerous initiatives and supporting our communities across New Jersey and Pennsylvania.”

Valencia is a graduate of Florida International University, with a bachelor’s degree in Liberal Arts. At Montclair State University, she earned her master’s in Law and Governance. Through her course studies, she focused on non-profit management and community engagement at The American Society of Mechanical Engineers.

“I am thrilled to join the Foundation and look forward to contributing to the team as they help enhance the quality of life in the communities served by Provident Bank,” added Valencia.
