The Provident Bank Foundation Awards $50K Signature Grant to Hunterdon Healthcare Foundation Inc.

The Provident Bank Foundation (PBF) has announced Hunterdon Healthcare Foundation Inc. in Flemington, N.J. as the recipient of the Foundation’s 2017 $50,000 Signature Grant in the Health, Youth & Familiesfunding priority area. The Foundation will present the check during a presentation on November 22, 2017, at 1:00 PM at the Hunterdon Medical Center campus, 9100 Wescott Drive, Flemington, N.J.

Hunterdon Healthcare Foundation Inc. was selected for the Signature Grant for its work in the Out-Patient Medical Care focus area, and funding will specifically be used toward providing primary care for the seriously and persistently mentally ill (SPMI) population at the center.

The goal of this particular grant is to provide funding to a non-profit organization whose mission is to improve access to quality and specialized health care, which matches that of Hunterdon Healthcare Foundation’s mission” said Jane Kurek, Executive Director, The Provident Bank Foundation. “The Foundation is committed to encouraging better health, and we look forward to seeing the outcome of the funding granted to this unique SPMI patient cohort.”

“We are honored to receive this grant award which will be vital for improving the health of a population that often suffers from conditions like obesity, diabetes, and hypertension but needs additional support to see a primary care doctor” said Christina O’Malley, Senior Vice President, Hunterdon Healthcare Foundation.
