Lake Drive Educational Foundation

The Provident Bank Foundation , which supports organizations that are dedicated to improving the lives of residents in the communities served by Provident Bank, has provided Lake Drive Educational Foundation with a $3,500 community grant to support its Sound Start program that offers listening, spoken, and sign communication services to infants and families with hearing loss in twelve Northern New Jersey counties. More than half of the participants in the program stem from low income families, multilingual homes, and/or families associated with multiple disabilities. The program is an early intervention program for children ages birth to three years to measure a series of skills, including cognitive, gross and fine motor, social/emotional, adaptive,and receptive and expressive language skills. The Provident Bank Foundation Awards $100K ‘Signature’ Grant and $20K ‘Impact’ Grants to Nonprofits in Lehigh Valley, PA and Hunterdon County, NJ

The Provident Bank Foundation has announced that it has selected The Collective Impact Action Learning Fellowship c/o Habitat for Humanity of the Lehigh Valley, PA, to receive its $100,000 “Signature” Grant in the Community Enrichment funding priority area. In addition, the Foundation has awarded two $20,000 “Impact” Grants, one to Allentownbased Neighborhood Housing Services of Lehigh Valley, PA and on to The Red Mill Museum in Clinton, NJ. Read More

Boys & Girls Club of Allentown

The Provident Bank Foundation , which supports organizations that are dedicated to improving the lives of residents in the communities served by Provident Bank, has provided the Boys & Girls Club of Allentown (BGCA) with a $2,500 community grant to support the North Sixth Street Club’s Literacy 4 R Youth after-school program. Literacy 4 R Youth provides disadvantaged youth, ages 5-12 with comprehensive programming designed to help develop their literacy skills and computer skills. The Literacy 4 R Youth Program is offered year round for all members of BGCA. Literacy 4 R Youth provides an engaging and structured after school activity for the members that correlates with and reinforces continued advancement in the areas of reading. Read More

Haven House

The Provident Bank Foundation , which supports organizations that are dedicated to improving the lives of residents in the communities served by Provident Bank, has provided Haven House with a $3,000 community grant to support the renovations of the kitchen at the community mental health clinic into a full cooking kitchen to provide free fresh hot meals for clients attending the Psychiatric Rehabilitation Services day program. Currently, the kitchen is only equipped with crock pots, a microwave and hot dog turner. The kitchen completion involves purchase/installation of a commercial stove, fire suppression and hood system, and kitchen equipment such as pots, pans, safety attire, and coffee makers. Haven House clients are low-income, ages 18 and up, with a severe and chronic mental illness. Haven House provides free lunch to 35-50 clients per day. Clients are taught independent living skills, with instruction in meal preparation, safety, and nutrition. Read More
